What should I do if I or another runner have an accident/incident during the mission?

Most missions are completed safely and without incident. Please don't take any unnecessary risks in order to complete a mission.

Sticking to the task that is pre-agreed and confirmed with you and using only manual tools as recommended by GoodGym will help make the task as safe as possible. Sometimes the GoodGym central team may not receive an accurate description of a task; do not carry out a task if it falls outside your skill level or physical capabilities.

If someone has an accident during a mission and there is an immediate risk to their health or safety then call 999. In non-emergencies that require urgent medical advice, dial 111 for NHS 24. If the injured person is unable to contact these services please do so on their behalf.

Please leave the mission with the other mission runner(s) if medical attention is required. We do not expect anyone to continue on with an injury in order to complete the task. Your well being and safety is the priority.

It is up to your own judgement about whether you accompany the injured person to access medical attention. We recommend that all runners bring a sum of money or a a travel card and their phone for use in emergencies should they may need transport or support.

After the mission you will be sent a mission feedback form via email. Please let GoodGym central know what happened and any medial attention or follow up sought. We will follow up with you as soon as possible and record an accident for our records.
