What are group sessions?

GoodGym group sessions involve a time limited, practical task for a local community organisation or charity. They are simple tasks which do not require specific knowledge or technical skills to complete. On some sessions you may run, walk or cycle to the task with other people from a fixed starting point, other times you may make your own way to the task.

Group sessions provide thousands of volunteering hours to community groups and charities across England and Wales every year. Without this support many organisations would struggle to survive.

Any tools or equipment needed for the task should be provided by the organisation although we recommend to always bring along gloves and a torch in the winter months.

Group sessions are classed as either a 'group run' or a 'community mission'
